Job summary

Qnity in Parlin, New Jersey, is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to lead and sustain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, while identifying continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, reliability, capacity, and cost performance.

This on-site role works with Operations, EH&S, Engineering, and Manufacturing Technology teams to deliver capital projects, PSI updates, and technology deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of manufacturing, process engineering, or related industrial experience.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or higher-hazard processes.
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing process changes.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain site PSM programs and regulatory compliance activities.
• Facilitate PHAs, MOC processes, incident investigations, and PSSRs.
• Maintain and improve PSI, operating procedures, and process safety documentation.
• Drive manufacturing process improvements that enhance safety, quality, reliability, throughput, and cost performance.
• Lead or support root cause investigations, troubleshooting activities, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in the development and execution of capital projects and technology deployment initiatives.
• Support raw material qualifications, product trials, and operational readiness activities.
• Partner with Operations, EH&S, Engineering, and R&D teams to deliver sustainable performance improvements.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching while promoting a strong safety and continuous improvement culture.
