Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex is seeking a Process Engineer for Metal Cycle Operations. You will act as the technical SME for processes including manufacturing, machining, melting, alloying, forming, welding, rolling, and heat-treating.

You will drive continuous improvement via statistical process control, data analytics, and close collaboration with production teams to implement improvements for efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent (US/Canada/Mexico).
• GPA requirements: 3.0+ for Bachelor's, 3.3+ for Master’s, 3.5+ for PhD.
• DOE 426.2 experience or equivalent safety requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine process technical basis for metal cycle operations.
• Communicate effects of changes on form, fit, or function of products.
• Provide technical training and guidance to production personnel.
