Qualifications

• Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin.
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong engineering background, management and communication skills.
• Duties include standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Be acquainted with the TS16949 quality system.
• Be the master of the professional skills of material development.
• Be the master of relevant material standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test new materials including but not limited to ink, silver paste, screen, cutting wheel, drill etc.
• Compile materials process requirements according to internal standard and customer standard
• Coordinate supplier evaluations and site testing for new materials
• Test material samples in lab and production environments, compile reports
• Compare US materials with Chinese plant materials and select best options balancing performance and cost
• Compile documentation for using and storing materials and provide plant training
• Track material usage in production and drive continuous improvement
• Manage automation projects including quality inspection and laser marking system
• Compile process requirements for automation system and coordinate supplier evaluations
• Prepare project plans and track progress, ensure alignment with standards
• Organize process improvement and troubleshooting to meet internal and customer standards
• Compile work instructions and process reports for new lines or products
• Coordinate with purchasing and project teams to finalize requirements and approvals
• Produce and maintain material standards to ensure compliance
