Job summary

SCN BestCo is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize production processes and improve product quality across multiple manufacturing lines in Santa Cruz. You will partner with production, warehouse, quality, and maintenance to implement cost-effective improvements and safe operations.

Requires a bachelor’s in engineering and 2+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
• 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, process, or continuous improvement engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and independent decision-making skills.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in production areas (moguls & packaging), focusing on long-term sustainable process improvements.
• Collaborate across organizational and department functions to identify areas for process and product improvements.
• Design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Develop workflows to reduce and eliminate redundant work.
• Lead teams to investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance.
• Perform cost analyses, progress reports, and technical studies.
• Implement and validate new processes and equipment.
• Develop IQ/OQ/PQ documents.
