Job summary

Madico Window Films is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze, investigate, and improve manufacturing processes to reduce defects and enable continuous improvement. The role involves identifying new equipment and methods to cut waste and boost productivity, and applying data-driven root-cause analysis to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities include controlling process variation, implementing preventive actions, training staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of related experience or training.
• Other engineering disciplines may be considered with satisfactory film manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, examines and recommends new equipment, technology, and methods to reduce waste, defects and improve productivity.
• Investigates quality and production problems to determine root causes; analyzes data and uses advanced problem-solving techniques to implement solutions.
• Analyzes quality and production data to determine process capabilities, trends, drifts, and shifts; recommends solutions and implements controls to reduce variation.
• Initiates preventative actions to prevent quality problems before they occur.
• Establishes work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capabilities of machines and equipment.
• Stops or modifies work on non-conforming product or services per Quality Manual Management Responsibility and Authority.
• Provides employee training and compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements and OSHA requirements.
• Responsible for hazardous waste management per regulations and attends Haz-Com and Haz-Waste Training.
• Conducts internal audits (quality-related and 5s) as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Completes quality and improvement projects as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Adheres to Solamatrix safety guidelines.
• Supports chemical mixing area including specifying materials, methods, and training personnel.
