The J. M. Smucker Co. invites you to join our McCalla, Alabama manufacturing team as a Process Engineer. You will design, implement, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, increase throughput, and enhance product quality in a high-volume facility.

This on-site role requires working off shifts and occasional travel for factory initiatives, with cross-functional collaboration to drive Lean, problem solving, and continuous improvement across packaging and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting to identify root cause.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Willingness to work off shift hours and flow to the work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop mastery of core production processes to deliver results.
• Identify process improvements with managers and technicians to implement effective initiatives.
• Partner with technicians on corrective actions and sustain results.
• Model safety and quality expectations in plant operations.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts to support the HPO culture.
• Utilize root-cause analysis tools to address issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support startups for new product initiatives and capital projects.
• Lead material and packaging improvements, including supplier/material changes.
