Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Red Bluff, CA, is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement across production processes and equipment in a large lumber and millwork facility. You will collaborate with production, product development, customer service and sales teams to optimize methods and layout, with relocation to Red Bluff as needed.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical or manufacturing engineering background, 2–5 years in manufacturing, strong PM and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical/manufacturing)
• Minimum 2–5 years in manufacturing with fenestration experience preferred
• Strong project management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for continuous improvement efforts and new product development related to production processes and equipment
• Process information improvements across facilities and Lean manufacturing applications
• Layout design and material handling improvements
• Assist with specification of production equipment
• Work with design engineering and production to improve methods for window/door manufacturing
• Provide additional support as required
