Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, a fourth-generation family-owned company, seeks a qualified Process Engineer to join the Windows division in Phenix City, Alabama. You will oversee process projects, design equipment layouts, troubleshoot manufacturing processes, and drive lean improvements across sites.

The role requires a BS in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, 5+ years in engineering, CAD/AutoCAD proficiency, and Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in an engineering role with a proven track record.
• CAD or AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee process engineering projects of varying size; ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
• Design and plan equipment layouts to optimize production.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct tests and monitor process performance across production lines.
• Develop best practices to improve production rates and quality; drive process improvements.
