Job summary

Distribution International in Houston, TX is seeking a Process Engineer to improve material and labor utilization within fabrication operations. You will collaborate with fabrication, pricing, and sales to develop project pricing while maintaining master databases, time, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining cost models, leading Kaizen events, applying Lean Six Sigma tools, reducing lead times and costs, and identifying capacity constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in insulation manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP and design tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fabrication cost models and keep standards up to date.
• Work with pricing team and local shops on major proposals.
• Evaluate production processes by designing and researching methods.
• Develop new manufacturing methods to reduce lead times, costs and improve quality.
• Identify site capacity constraints and provide timely solutions.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and facilitate Kaizen events.
