Job summary

Pittsburgh Glass Works, LLC in Tipton, PA is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee the technical management, maintenance and development of production lines in the Lamination Assembly Department. You will apply lean manufacturing principles to plan and optimize operations, lead root-cause analysis, and drive capital improvement projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Support plan, layout, and sequencing of manufacturing, test and material handling operations using lean principles.
Identify and adapt machine and equipment design to production conditions.
Lead root cause analysis of quality and build issues for assigned areas.
Study and improve manufacturing processes to lower costs.
Research, benchmark, and maintain safety practices in activities.
Plan and write Standard Work Instructions for each area.
Troubleshoot product and machine difficulties.
Prepare requests and cost justifications for capital improvement projects.
