Job summary

VersaDesk in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to work on the manufacturing floor, developing processes and SOPs. This 3-month internship may lead to full-time employment based on performance.

You will join the Operations team, gaining hands-on experience with process development, training materials, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with Production, Inventory, and Quality teams, documenting processes and implementing standardized methods to boost efficiency

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in relevant engineering or operations fields.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for data handling.
• Strong attention to detail and hands-on manufacturing interest.

Responsibilities

• Work on the manufacturing floor alongside production teammates.
• Observe, document, and map tasks and processes for improvement.
• Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and training materials.
• Create visual process documentation to standardize operations.
• Collaborate across Operations, Production, Inventory, and Quality.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement projects on the floor.
• Test processes, adjust based on real-world results, track gains.
• Help train team members on new processes and SOPs.
