Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, Process, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Rising junior or senior standing
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work around shipping and material processing areas

Responsibilities

• Support process engineering initiatives within material handling operations, including shipping and material processing workflows
• Assist with identification, scoping, and documentation of process improvement opportunities across material handling functions
• Support coordination and performance oversight of contractors performing material handling, shipping, or material processing work
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, safety risks, or efficiency opportunities in shipping and material processing
• Support development of standard work, process documentation, and continuous improvement recommendations
• Partner with logistics, operations, maintenance, and contractor teams to implement and validate process improvements
• Support continuous improvement of material handling, shipping, and contractor management processes
• Uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times
