Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Process Engineer II to provide technical leadership for major assets, driving output, material and energy efficiency to meet product specs. The role emphasizes data collection, auditing, preventive maintenance and deviation correction using Lean, RCCA, 6 Sigma, and JM Solve-It methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or relevant technical field; minimum 3 years in industrial continuous process manufacturing as process or design engineer and 2 years troubleshooting on manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Experience with DOE for process improvement; knowledge of Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous analysis identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions.
• Develop standard control processes and standard operating procedures.
• Support the Operations and Maintenance Department efforts to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Utilize blueprints, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals and engineering drawings for design and optimization.
• Monitor product quality and investigate quality problems and customer complaints; direct SPC and design experiments.
• Develop training documents and support production staff.
