Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Dallas, TX is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Focal Plane Array front-end wafer processing team. You will work on implant, plasma etch, and thin film deposition processes to drive manufacturability and product performance.

You will troubleshoot and improve deposition/etch tools, establish quality metrics, and lead process development projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating across engineering teams.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field such as Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics
Experience: 2+ years

Responsibilities

Provide process engineering support to the front end wafer processing team, including vacuum tool support for deposition and dry etching across multiple equipment (sputtering, CVD, evaporation).
Continuously improve manufacturing processes to optimize yield, increase capacity, and reduce cycle time.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing products and implement improvements as needed.
Establish and maintain metrics to validate material quality at various stages in the process flow.
Analyze and disposition non-conforming material or processes.
Design, develop, and document new or improved processes and equipment.
Coordinate progress with management, peers, technicians, and support personnel; lead projects on schedule and budget.
