Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Process Engineer II to improve manufacturing processes in our Food Enterprise. You will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement, and project management to ensure safe, efficient, and low-cost plant operations.

Responsibilities include evaluating equipment and processes, promoting quality, and documenting results. Candidates should have a related degree and at least two years of experience, with lean and Six Sigma credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Possesses working knowledge of engineering subject matter.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Lean Certification and Six Sigma experience are preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications.
• Understanding of PI (data historian), AutoCAD, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
• Assesses current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes.
• Helps to fix and repair equipment. Shows results in reports.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
