Job summary

Novo Nordisk in North Carolina is seeking an Engineering professional to improve and develop systems and equipment to meet customer, business and regulatory requirements across core processes. The role emphasizes People, Process, Equipment focus and standards while collaborating with diverse teams.

You will coach Shopfloor personnel, lead cross-functional improvements, apply green belt concepts, and manage project budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 1 year of engineering experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree in engineering with 2 years of engineering experience required.
• High School Diploma with 4 years engineering experience required.
• Three years of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Instrument & Electrical, Mechanical, Control/SCADA/PLCs; RCA/RCM a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coach & mentor peers and Shopfloor personnel.
• Support technical development of Shopfloor personnel.
• Employ advanced lean tools within problem solving, project & change management.
• Lead cross-functional process improvements.
• Develop plans to improve process performance using green belt concepts.
• Develop & manage project budgets for improvements.
• Support event response activities.
• Support implementation of best practices & share knowledge across OFP sites.
• Maintain & establish standards for procedures & maintenance plans.
• Support global OFP collaboration initiatives.
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in performance of duties.
