Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions is hiring a Process Engineer to maintain Statistical Process Control of key products and support improvements in first pass yield, process efficiency and cost. The role demands an energetic, detail-focused engineer who can learn from the team.

We seek a BS in Chemical Engineering with 0–3 years’ experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across Maintenance, Production and QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from four-year college or university.
• 0–3 years experience in a relevant role.
• Good working knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Quality focus, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Team player and ability to interact closely with other departments.
• Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with P&ID’s, basic process control, pumps, piping systems, control valves, mixers, solids handling and environmental control equipment.
• Ability to speak read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices.
• Monitor processes closely and oversee SPC related activities for critical processes.
• Determine root causes for out-of-control products and follow through with corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic statistical reports to customers and ensure timely submission of such reports.
• Manage Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) and drive corrective actions.
• Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing processes including CAR.
• Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes.
• Function as secondary resource for Plant EHS Activities such as waste management and audits.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and oversee calibration program.
