Job summary

TWD in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our EPCM team. You will support early project development, develop process designs and datasheets, and help ensure safe, profitable refinery operations across multiple project phases.

You’ll work with API/EH&S standards, perform PFD/P&ID work, and collaborate with operations, design, and construction teams to drive successful startup and ongoing performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 4–9 years of process engineering experience.
• Three or more years of operations experience.
• At least two years of project experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform process engineering design and studies across all project stages.
• Develop front end designs in line with EH&S and PSM requirements.
• Specify and size piping/equipment and develop datasheets.
• Develop/redline PFDs and P&IDs.
• Evaluate relief valves sizing scenarios and equipment bids.
• Review FEED/IFC deliverables for technical accuracy.
• Engage stakeholders and support operations through construction and startup.
• Contribute to process hazard analyses and risk assessments.
• Assist early-stage project estimates and lessons learned.
