Elmet Technologies, Inc. in Euclid, Ohio is seeking a Process Engineer for Flat Rolled Products to develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for thin-gauge refractory metal sheet and foil.
You will lead process documentation, partner with Manufacturing and Quality, and drive improvements in capability, yield, and efficiency on the production floor. A strong engineering foundation and hands-on problem solving are essential.
Description
Euclid, Ohio | $90,000–$115,000/year | Full-Time | Onsite
Producing thin-gauge refractory metal sheet and foil requires precise control of materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Elmet Technologies is hiring a Process Engineer – Flat Rolled Products for our Euclid, Ohio facility to develop, oversee, and improve the manufacturing processes used to produce flat-rolled molybdenum, tungsten, and toll-processed products.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work directly with Manufacturing and Quality to solve production problems, improve process capability and material yield, develop new products and processes, and ensure our manufacturing methods consistently meet demanding customer requirements.
If you’re an engineer who likes being close to manufacturing and seeing the results of your work on the production floor, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact.
Elmet offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to build your expertise in advanced materials manufacturing.
As a Process Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for developing, documenting, controlling, and improving manufacturing processes associated with thin-gauge refractory metal sheet and foil. You’ll:
This role requires an engineering foundation combined with relevant manufacturing experience. You could be a strong fit if you have:
Experience in any of these areas can help you hit the ground running:
Experience with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and hot working of metal products is preferred rather than required.
Successful Process Engineers make manufacturing processes easier to understand, control, and improve. You’ll know you’re succeeding when:
This isn’t a role where process engineering happens entirely behind a computer. When a process isn’t performing as expected, you’ll work directly with the people running it. You’ll review the data, understand what is happening to the material, identify potential causes, and determine what needs to change.
That could mean modifying a process, improving tooling, revising manufacturing instructions, investigating a quality problem, evaluating new equipment, or determining why material yield isn’t where it should be. The goal is to understand the process well enough to make it more capable, consistent, and efficient.
Elmet specializes in high-performance materials including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium. At Euclid, this role focuses specifically on the manufacturing processes associated with thin-gauge refractory metal sheet and foil.
That gives you the opportunity to deepen your expertise in flat rolling and advanced materials while building broader experience across process engineering, metallurgy, quality, equipment, tooling, and continuous improvement.
Elmet Technologies is a U.S.-based manufacturer of precision-engineered products serving demanding industries including aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and energy. Our Euclid operation combines specialized materials with advanced manufacturing processes to produce products where consistency, quality, and performance matter.
As a Process Engineer, your work will directly influence how those products are manufactured, how effectively our processes perform, and how we continue improving them.
