Job summary

Life Cycle Engineering in Savannah, GA seeks a Process Engineer to drive process design and optimization across refinery operations. You will lead design activities, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, troubleshoot, and train operators as part of the Process Operation Department.

The role requires strong background in chemical engineering, 5+ years in heavy manufacturing, and ability to collaborate with Safety, Health, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or Mechanical engineering with relevant experience in heavy manufacturing.
• 5+ years of related experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (sugar, oil/gas, power, chemicals, etc.).
• Technical knowledge of processing equipment; familiarity with unit operations such as crystallization, evaporation, filtration.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills and field-work capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise to optimize process systems and unit operations.
• Develop process design and process safety documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and SOPs.
• Lead process audits and formal reviews for safety, environmental, quality, and food safety.
