Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Process Engineer to initiate and coordinate manufacturing process improvements within the Manchester operation. You will analyze, design, and implement value plans to reduce costs, eliminate bottlenecks, and streamline production, while guiding supervisors and operators.

Responsibilities include budget support, productivity gains, and collaboration with operations to identify future opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 2-3 years engineering experience in cable manufacturing desirable
• Strong data analysis skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Familiarity with six sigma and lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects including cost estimations, designs, specifications, approvals, procurement, installation, startup, cost control, safety and implementation to meet Plant objectives.
• Achieve measurable productivity gains and KPI goals as identified by Plant Manager and Process Engineering Manager.
• Assist with annual capital and expense budget preparation for management review.
• Work with Operations to solve manufacturing problems and initiate productivity improvements.
• Prepare and integrate programs to reduce costs, optimize quality, reduce scrap, improve cycles, and evaluate facility investments.
