Job summary

3M is seeking a Process Engineer in Cumberland, WI to collaborate with teams worldwide and drive improvements in safety, quality, service and cost. The role covers daily operations, change management, and capital projects to enhance manufacturing capability, with occasional night/weekend support.

Qualifications include a engineering or science degree and 2 years of process engineering experience, plus extra qualifications in Lean Six Sigma and statistical methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Two (2) years of process engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost in assigned areas.
  • Actively participate in day-to-day operations: daily tier process, EHS activities, MOC process change management, OEE analysis, and resolution of performance gaps.
  • Initiate and lead Continuous Improvement projects across the Value Stream using project management tools.
  • Understand and use statistical analysis and DOE to improve processes; troubleshoot defects and perform root cause analysis.
  • Manage strategic source of supply projects.
  • Drive capital investment, new product introduction, and new technologies to increase manufacturing capability.
  • Provide daily engineering support for assigned areas including occasional availability on nights/weekends.
