Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Process Engineer in Massachusetts to identify equipment, tooling and processes for copper and fiber optic cable manufacture. You will plan process development, maintain specs, and troubleshoot across shifts while driving corrective actions for consistent performance.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 3+ years in manufacturing or process engineering, strong communication skills, and proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, and Microsoft

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Experience in wire and cable industry preferred.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Minitab.
  • Portuguese language ability is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify equipment, tooling and processes required to manufacture copper and fiber optic cables.
  • Plan and direct process development while maintaining specifications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across all shifts and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain technical manufacturing instructions and work procedures.
  • Coordinate XP’s and capital projects; provide input to product costing.
  • Communicate critical processing information to manufacturing personnel.
