Job summary

Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, seeks an experienced manufacturing engineer in Louisville, KY, to lead tooling programs from order receipt to Run at Rate. You will drive processes using APQP, FMEA, and 8D to meet targets while ensuring safety and quality in high-volume production.

Ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering, strong analytical skills, and hands-on CAD/robotics experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLC systems.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or equivalent plus two-(2) years directly related experience.
Proficient level of English
Strong analytical and problem solving-skills (required).
Economics skills (cost tracking)
Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment practices

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the successful completion of programs from receipt of order through a successful Run at Rate.
Develops and creates appropriate processes utilizing tools such as APQP, FMEA, 8D, etc. to achieve program targets and maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsible for Parameters related to the process.
Track and report the status of the project, following the ratio of expenses against budget and monitoring quality, cost and delivery performance.
Be in charge of communication with the customer and for providing documentation.
Keep up to date documentation related to new equipment & tooling.
Train the operators on the safe operation of new tooling & equipment, properly identified, and provide them with tooling & equipment instruction.
Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions concerning subcontracting and tooling department services.
