Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and product development activities
• Perform process definition (PD) audits, file PDs, and consult with specialists and engineers on updates as needed
• Support troubleshooting efforts by participating in root cause analysis exercises, assisting in trials, measuring samples, and analyzing data
• Participate in continuous improvement projects pertaining to safety, scrap reduction, and increased productivity
• Support project development by brainstorming ideas, creating drawings, obtaining quotes from machine shops, and testing prototypes
• Work with product development on design reviews by cross-referencing dimensions, collecting and analyzing data, and providing feedback on process improvements
• Help implement new quality tests including designing fixtures, gauges, and completing Gauge R&Rs
• Support training efforts by creating Job Breakdowns and One Point Lessons for manufacturing associates

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience with statistical analysis and data collection
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Previous internship or co-op experience in manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
