Job summary

Printpack is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op to support daily operations and contribute to product development. You will participate in PD audits, cross-functional reviews, and data analysis to drive process improvements.

This role emphasizes analytical thinking, strong communication, and time management as you help implement new quality tests and assist in cross-functional teams across manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and product development activities.
• Perform process definition audits, file PDs and consult with specialists and engineers on updates as needed.
• Support troubleshooting efforts by participating in root cause analysis exercises, assisting in trials, measuring samples, and analyzing data.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects pertaining to safety, scrap reduction, and increased productivity.
• Support project development by brainstorming ideas, creating drawings, obtaining quotes from machine shops, and testing prototypes.
• Work with product development on design reviews by cross-referencing dimensions, collecting and analyzing data, and providing feedback on process improvements.
• Help implement new quality tests including designing fixtures, gauges, and completing Gauge R&Rs.
• Support training efforts by creating Job Breakdowns and One Point Lessons for manufacturing associates.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical , Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience with statistical analysis and data collection
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Previous internship or co-op experience in manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
