Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a Process Engineer to support plant engineering, production, and maintenance.

This onsite role reports to the Plant Engineer and offers opportunities to develop leadership skills while guiding safe operation, equipment reliability, and process improvements.

You will work with PLC/SCADA/HMI systems, manage capital projects, and serve on the plant leadership committee.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing environment experience.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Experience with formal root cause analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT/NIOSH/ANSI/NFPA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to support safe operation of plant processes.
• Support maintenance spare parts inventory system.
• Improve semi-automated and automated filling lines through process projects.
• Support PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and related systems, including upgrades and recommendations.
• Oversee maintenance activities and step in during the Plant Engineer's absence; leadership development.
• Serve on the plant leadership committee.
• Execute small capital projects with Plant Engineer; contractor coordination and equipment upgrades.
