Electro-Methods Inc., a Stronvar Aerospace company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our growing aerospace manufacturing team in South Windsor, CT. This role is critical in supporting the production of precision aerospace components by developing manufacturing processes, creating detailed work instructions, and designing the tooling necessary for efficient and quality-driven production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace components.
  • Interpret and create engineering drawings and 3D models to support manufacturing planning.
  • Design and detail tooling and fixtures to support efficient, repeatable, and high-quality production processes.
  • Create and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWIs) and technical documentation.
  • Plan and sequence manufacturing operations with a focus on quality, cost, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure smooth implementation of processes.
  • Provide technical support to the shop floor, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and cost-saving strategies.
  • Utilize NX CAD software to develop, modify, and review models and tool designs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D modeling.
  • Experience in planning manufacturing sequences, designing fixtures and tooling.
  • Experienced with NX CAD platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
