Job summary

Greystone, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mechanical or Chemical Process Engineer for our Virginia facility. The role focuses on developing manufacturing systems to boost productivity, quality, and safety while working with cutting-edge automation, camera systems, and proprietary plating processes.

You will program PLCs, design HMIs, and provide on-the-floor support. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, running DOE trials, and maintaining core documentation to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required or equivalent.
  • Entry-level candidates welcome and will be trained.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities essential.
  • Team-oriented with initiative and multi-tasking capability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing systems to boost productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Analyze production operations to identify improvements and implement changes.
  • Measure process performance using KPIs and develop data collection systems.
  • Provide daily on-the-floor support and troubleshooting to improve manufacturing quality and efficiency.
  • Program PLCs and design HMIs to improve operator-machine interaction.
  • Troubleshoot automated machines to ensure smooth operation.
  • Develop trial plans, DOE to validate process improvements.
  • Maintain reports and core documentation (FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, APQP).
  • Track and report progress on critical assignments using project management tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work withcutting-edgetechnology in manufacturing and automation, including camera systems, and proprietary plating systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement manufacturing systems to achieve world-class productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety.

Analyze production operations toidentifyimprovement opportunities and implement recommended changes.

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Job Location and Conditions

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, conference room, and office setting.

Involves a high-volume manufacturing environment with chemicals and manual and automated equipment.

Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Some travelrequiredfor customer visits, trade shows, training events, and other plant locations.
