CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

  • Own process design for shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations, including standard work, work instructions, visual controls, and documentation
  • Solve recurring shipping, receiving, and inventory problems through root cause analysis, and turn fixes into permanent process changes rather than workarounds
  • Own warehouse flow and layout design across all facilities, including storage strategy, slotting, staging, dock flow, and inter-facility material movement
  • Learn NetSuite WMS and grow into the internal subject matter expert for configuration, process design, user training, and ongoing optimization (bin and location structure, receiving, putaway, picking, packing, cycle counting)
  • Partner with the NPI / customer onboarding team to define packaging, labeling, shipping, and storage requirements for new programs; implement them and hand off to operations with clear standards and success criteria
  • Own process standards and conduct regular audits to confirm processes are followed and effective; update standards as the business changes
  • Lead efficiency and quality improvement projects using data, time studies, and root cause analysis, and measure results
  • Reduce transit damage through packaging design, crating and fixture standards, and packaging testing, in partnership with Quality and Shipping
  • Develop and maintain supply chain KPIs (dock-to-stock time, ship accuracy, inventory accuracy, damage rate) and make them visible on the floor
  • Build ROI cases for warehouse and dock investments such as racking, material handling equipment, and scanning hardware
  • Lead Kaizen events and 5S in warehouse and logistics areas
  • Train team members on new processes and systems
  • Maintain responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual and Procedure Level documentation
