Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Shelbyville, Kentucky, is seeking a Process Engineer to provide daily engineering support for manufacturing operations, resolve schedule issues, and improve overall efficiency across milling, heat treat, welding, and packaging processes.

You will lead improvement projects, support capital upgrades, collaborate with R&D and suppliers, and ensure safety and quality systems compliance. Travel is occasional, with a strong focus on data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with automation, robotics, or vision systems.
• Familiarity with Kaizen, Lean, and ISO9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations to resolve schedule attainment issues and improve efficiency.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance cost, quality, service, throughput, and yield.
• Support safety and risk assessments, equipment upgrades, and new product launches.
• Plan and execute process trials with cross-functional teams and document findings.

(Processes may include a mix of milling, heat treat, welding, punch, finishing, printing or packaging)Specifically, you’ll: * Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving process issues* Identify and lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, service, throughput, and yield within assigned areas* Support and implement improvements related to process safety and operational risk assessments* Evaluate capital planning needs and support equipment upgrades, modifications, and technology investments* Lead new equipment Installations and existing equipment modifications* Implement new equipment processes and procedures* Liaison with suppliers, customers, and research & development staff* Create drawings for tooling modification and gage design* Support new product launches* Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute process trials, experiments, and data-driven improvement projects* Document technical findings, communicate recommendations clearly, and contribute to effective team decision-making* Troubleshoot robotics* Execute other duties as assigned. **The Person:**You’re a curious problem solver who has the ability to bring big ideas to life.
