Job summary

XPEL, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to support development, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing processes across production and supply chain operations.

The candidate should have a BS in engineering and 2 years of related experience, along with strong analytical and statistical

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Materials Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years' experience in process engineering, production operations, and/or quality control environments.
  • Analytical skills for troubleshooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions, and finding answers that work.
  • Familiarity with statistics & hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies; for example: Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, DMAIC, Lean, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees working with the production process.
  • Process-orientation with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities

  • Technical resource for on-going production activities: establishing & improving production quality specifications, production support, documentation & analysis of production KPIs.
  • Responsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure stakeholders are properly meeting guidelines.
  • Leads quality improvement, yield improvement & corrective action projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Recommends manufacturing processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
  • Collaborates with research and development teams as technologies transition to pilot & scale-up environments to ensure successful commercialization.
