Job summary

Autoliv United States is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency. The role supports daily production, drives continuous improvement, and enables successful product launches.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years in manufacturing or process engineering and hands-on shop floor troubleshooting experience in high-volume settings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective production
  • Support day-to-day production, drive continuous improvement, and ensure successful execution of new product launches
  • Engage hands-on on the shop floor and assist with off-shift production issues when needed

Job description

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This role supports day-to-day production, drives continuous improvement, and ensures successful execution of new product launches. The position requires strong technical problem solving, hands-on engagement with production, and a commitment to Autoliv's safety-first culture.

  • Bachelor's degree • 2--5 years in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Experience supporting high-volume production environments
  • Hands-on shop floor experience troubleshooting processes
  • Exposure to: o Root cause problem solving (8D, 5 Why) o SPC and process capability analysis o Lean / continuous improvement initiatives Prefered:
  • Automotive or regulated manufacturing experience
  • APQP / PPAP exposure
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment
  • Willingness to work in a production environment (shop floor presence required)
  • Ability to support off-shift production issues as needed
  • Occasional extended hours during launches or critical issues
  • Ability to travel (limited) for training or equipment support if required.
