Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a hands-on professional to support molding, assembly and complex manufacturing operations at our site. You will create and maintain specification files, define setup procedures, and drive improvements across processes and tooling.

You will partner with planning, quality and design teams to address tooling, fixtures and process capability while training operators on updated standards and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, molding, or equivalent technical production support.
• Ability to interpret specifications, engineering drawings, blueprints, tool orders and shop data.
• Process troubleshooting and practical problem solving in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and revise controlled mold, process and assembly specification files, including machine set-up parameters, preparation cards, deflash specification cards and work instructions.
• Develop, validate and improve manufacturing methods for molding, secondary operations and complex assembly equipment.
• Sample new molds, tools, fixtures and assembly equipment; define process windows and release practical set-up instructions for production use.
• Analyze scrap, downtime, quality concerns and process variation using data and statistics; implement corrective actions to improve quality, throughput and cost.
• Coordinate tooling and fixture repairs with mold shop and machine shop; escalate complex repairs as needed.
• Train and support operators on revised set-ups, process changes, work instructions, and safe operating methods.

Responsibilities:

Develop,validateand improve manufacturing methods formolding, secondaryoperationsand complex assembly equipment, including multi-station, automated, semi-automated, fixture-based or poka-yoke controlled processes.

Sample newmolds, tools,fixturesand assembly equipment; define process windows, confirmrepeatabilityand release practical set-up instructions for production use.

Analyzescrap, downtime, quality concerns and process variation usingappropriate dataand statistical methods; implement corrective actions that improve quality,throughputand cost.

Partner with planning, design, quality, maintenance, machineshopandmoldshop teams to resolve product, tooling, equipment, fixture, tolerance, material and processability issues.

Support complex assembly equipment readiness, including fixture design input, changeover methods, sensor/interlock verification, error-proofing concepts, ergonomicconsiderationsand production trial feedback.

Coordinate tooling and fixture repairs or revisions with themoldshop and machine shop, including minor tool repairs within capability and escalation of more complex repairs.

Train and supportmolders, operators and production leads on revised set-ups, process changes, workinstructions,and safe operating methods.

Maintain current external engineering standards applicable to the manufacturing location and ensure controlled documentation reflects valid revision levels.

Exercise responsibility for final part quality by stopping or escalating processes that produce discrepant material, in line with site quality and safety expectations.

Qualifications:

Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, tooling,molding, assemblyoperationsor equivalent technical production support.

Practical exposure to machine set-up, work instructions, controlled documentation, problemsolvingand production support.

Experience with complex assembly equipment, automation, fixturing, sensors, interlocks, error-proofing or similar production systems is preferred.

Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience in manufacturing, engineering technology, maintenance,toolingor a related field is preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret specifications, engineering drawings, blueprints, toolordersand shop data.

Process troubleshooting, root causeanalysisand practical problem solving in a production environment.

Ability to use manufacturing data and basic statistical methods to understand trends,variationand future manufacturing needs.

Proficient computer skills for controlled documentation, specifications,reportsand communication.

Clear written and verbal communication with production, technical and cross-functional stakeholders.

Ability to train and support operators in a team-based manufacturing environment.
