Job summary

All Flex Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer I to ensure engineering standards influence product development and manufacturing. You will own and back-up processes, analyze root causes, document SOPs, and support cross-functional improvements.

Travel to other factories and occasional evening/weekend support are expected. The role requires a BS in an engineering field and 0–2 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Minitab and MS Office, plus knowledge of SPC/Lean practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial).
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Minitab and SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints or Cell Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own and back-up a limited number of processes.
  • Support Operations with process, equipment, instruction, material, and part number challenges.
  • Own daily root cause analysis on failures, and corrective and preventative actions.
  • Document SOPs, Control Plans, Risk Mitigations, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements; photo/video instructions preferred.
  • Write assembly instructions for part numbers as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvements.
  • Own small projects.
  • Support audits and customer visits.
  • Maintain and improve process controls and process capability.
  • Travel to other AFS factories to grow knowledge.
  • Provide occasional evening and weekend phone support.

Job description

Brief Description

The Process Engineer I ensures Process Engineering Standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The Process Engineer I has a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables which affect product quality. The Process Engineer I reports to the Process Engineering Manager.

  • Own and back-up a limited number of processes.
  • Support Operations with process, equipment, instruction, material, and part number challenges.
  • Own daily root cause analysis on failures, and corrective and preventative actions.
  • Fully document Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans, Risk Mitigations, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements. Photo and video-based instructions are desired.
  • Write assembly instructions for part numbers as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvements.
  • Own small projects.
  • Support audits and customer visits.
  • Maintain and improve process controls and process capability.
  • Corroborate with and travel to other AFS factories, to grow knowledge.
  • Provide occasional evening and weekend phone support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in an engineering field: manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial, or similar studies.
Experience And/or Training
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Experienced with Minitab.
  • Experience with SPC, Lean Manufacturing implementation, Theory of Constraints or Cell Manufacturing
Technology/Equipment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Travel
  • Up to 5%

We offer a competitive base salary in the $80,000 to $100,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
