Job summary

Ocean Spray is hiring a Process Engineer for our Lakeville, MA headquarters in a hybrid role (Mondays and Fridays remote). You will develop, scale up, and qualify equipment and processes to support global base business, innovation, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Food Science, with the ability to travel up to 50%. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional leadership are essential, as is experience with

  • Develop, scale up, and qualify equipment and processes.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve yields and throughput.
  • Lead pilot-plant and vendor-led experiments for scale up and new tech exploration.
  • Develop process specifications and best practices with operations and cross functional SMEs.

This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.In this role, the Process Engineer is responsible for development, scale up, and qualification of equipment and processes to support global base business, innovation, and manufacturing optimization initiatives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams achieve business and technical objectives and contribute subject matter expertise. Additionally, the Process Engineer communicates results and aligns key stakeholders, interfaces with external vendors, and provides technical leadership to OS and partner manufacturing facilities.A Day in the Life...Contribute process engineering expertise to cross functional teams to inform successful design, scale up, and qualification of new products and processes.Lead technical assessment, validation, and commissioning of processes at OS and partner manufacturing facilities, collaborating with RDS functional peers to meet technical and business objectives.Identify, validate, implement, modifications to processes to improve yields, throughput of batching and thermal processing, utility savings, process control, and other relevant operational targetsApply standard engineering techniques in the analysis of existing operational areas from raw materials to finished packages to troubleshoot process related production challenges and recommend corrective actions.Lead design, development, and execution of experiments in the pilot-plant and with strategic vendor partners to inform process scale up, troubleshooting, and research.Apply standard engineering techniques in the analysis of existing operational areas from raw materials to finished packages to troubleshoot process related production challenges and recommend corrective actions.Lead design, development, and execution of experiments in the pilot-plant and with strategic vendor partners to inform process scale up, troubleshooting, research, and new technology exploration.Develop and implement process specifications, standards and best practices in collaboration with operations and cross functional subject matter expertsWhat We Are Looking For:RequiredBachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalentAbility to travel up to 50% of the timeCreative thinker with a passion for innovation, problem solving, continuous improvement, and engineering excellenceHighly organized, adaptable, self-starter able to effectively manage multiple projectsExceptional verbal and written communication skills and willingness to lead cross functional project teamsProficiency with MS Office, AutoCad, MS ProjectPreferred Experience with data analysis and visualization in Python or similar toolsEducation:Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)Work Experience:No Experience NecessaryAnnual Salary:$72,200 - $90,300The base salary range information above serves as a guideline of the position’s typical hiring range.
