Job summary

Confidential Global seeks a Battery Pack Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a cross-functional team responsible for designing, validating, and launching high-volume battery pack assembly processes for North America and Mexico. You will provide manufacturing input to product design and lead equipment procurement and installation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 2+ years on major projects, familiarity with AutoCAD and Siemens PLM, and

Job description

Battery Pack Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineering is a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to procure equipment and launch assembly processes for battery packs used in the electric vehicles at plants across North America and Mexico. The Battery Pack Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer candidate will be a part of this team and be responsible for the following:

• 
  Work with team to design, run off, install, and launch high volume battery pack
• sProvide manufacturing input to product desig
• nSupport assembly station, transport, and test equipment design & procuremen
• tSimultaneous Engineering - Digital Job 1 (Virtual Validation
• CSupport costs study submissions as require
• dReview lessons learned and incorporate into process developmen
• tDevelop PFMEA’s and work with PD to complete SCCAF’
• sFollow MPS and ensure PD is following specified MD
• SCycle Line Layout/Facilities Layou
• tDevelop statement of work for initial POs for Design and Buil
• dSupport/write PO
• sSupport MIDAS deliverables for equipment validatio
• nEnsure OEMs are providing quality SOW for installation. Support equipment planning and installatio
• nLead and support builds through ROC. Lead and support issue resolution from builds PDC
• ADocumented standardized work instruction
• sCollaborate with all levels of personnel, for the duration of a progra
• mExtensive travel within North America will be required

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineerin
• gUnderstanding/experience of overall manufacturing processes (Battery preferred) and manufacturing business acumen
• .Minimum 2+ years on major projects
• .Experience implementing large scale projects as a Manufacturing Engineer or Project Manager on new specialized manufacturing lines
• .Familiarity with simulation tools, digital methods: AutoCAD / Siemens PLM etc. developing layouts in AutoCA

This position is a salary grade 7-8 and ranges from $86,600-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market v

value.
