Job summary

Mach10 Solutions, based in Montana and expanding across the United States, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive Lean initiatives and DFMA integration for new projects. You will design layouts, optimize cycles, and lead cross‑functional teams towards KPI targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable discipline is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics, synchronous manufacturing, and Lean principles.
  • Expertise in using AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word is essential.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage tasks autonomously with little oversight while remaining a productive team contributor.

Responsibilities

  • Drive manufacturing process enhancements by applying Lean methodologies to boost productivity, quality, and labor efficiency.
  • Design cell layouts, process flows, and cycle-time projections for new programs and pre-SOP build activities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and APQP groups to integrate DFMA tactics in new project rollouts and component updates.
  • Contribute to Process FMEAs, Control Plans, and detailed work instructions for new and modified processes.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to achieve and exceed KPIs and track continuous improvement metrics.
  • Analyze internal and customer quality issues to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Educate Team Leaders and staff on process updates for smooth implementation.
  • Identify and deploy Poka-Yoke error-proofing measures to reduce assembly mistakes.
  • Investigate emerging manufacturing technologies and benchmark against other facilities.
  • Contribute to Ergonomics Committee to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Act as Lean Thinker Champion to promote continuous improvement culture.
  • Partner with Controls and Maintenance to adjust equipment and process controls.

Core Responsibilities
  • Drive manufacturing process enhancements by applying Lean methodologies to boost overall productivity, quality, and labor efficiency.
  • Facilitate successful program launches by designing cell layouts, process flows, and cycle-time projections while overseeing pre-SOP build activities.
  • Work alongside Engineering and APQP groups to integrate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) tactics during new project rollouts and component updates.
  • Contribute to the creation of Process FMEAs, Control Plans, and detailed work instructions for both new and modified processes.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to help the department achieve and exceed its established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Track continuous improvement metrics to ensure the department meets its performance goals.
  • Analyze internal and customer-reported quality issues to help the team implement effective corrective actions that improve product standards.
  • Educate Team Leaders, Quality Technicians, and staff on process updates to ensure smooth and accurate implementation.
  • Design and deploy Poka-Yoke error-proofing measures to minimize assembly mistakes and increase the reliability of production processes.
  • Investigate emerging manufacturing technologies and compare them against other facilities to identify potential operational advantages.
  • Contribute to the Ergonomics Committee by pinpointing safety risks and helping to create solutions that foster a safer, more efficient work environment.
  • Act as a Lean Thinker Champion to lead production areas in continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of efficiency.
  • Partner with Controls and Maintenance departments to determine and execute necessary adjustments to equipment or process controls.
  • Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
