Job summary

Molex, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Hudson, WI. You will develop, document and improve manufacturing processes for new and current products at our Hudson plant, serving as the main process contact for selected projects while partnering with the NPI team and operators to build prototypes that meet customer requirements and scale.

You will support first and second shift operations, with the first shift on a standard M-F schedule and the second shift on M-Th, 3:30 PM – 1:30

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing new manufacturing methods and training others.
• Experience with automated systems to identify opportunities or program new functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document manufacturing process flow, work instructions, workmanship standards, and conduct operator training.
• Support existing manufacturing processes through problem solving, optimization and continuous improvement.
• Investigate root causes and apply corrective action; document quality issues in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with NPI team including Design Engineering, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, and Suppliers.
• Lead product/process transfers to high-volume Molex plants; may include international travel.
• Identify automation opportunities and build robust proposals for implementation and qualification.
• Support and contribute to Six Sigma, ISO and EH&S management systems by following policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Be a key contributor for customer and industry audits.

Molex, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Hudson, WI. You may not see our name on the shelves, but our electronic solutions are inside the products you use every day. We work together with the world’s innovators to design and manufacture electronic solutions that solve complex technical challenges.

In this role you’ll be focused on developing, documenting and improving manufacturing processes for both new and current products that will be built in our new Hudson WI plant, plus our current plants. You will be expected to be the main process contact for specific projects/opportunities while collaborating with our NPI team and operators to build prototypes that meet customer requirements and ensure we can build to scale.

We are seeking Process Engineers to support both our first and second shift operations teams.The first shift Process Engineers will work a M-F, standard business hours schedule.The second shift Process Engineer will work M-Th, 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM.

What You Will Do

• Development and document manufacturing process flow, work instructions, workmanship standard, and conduct operator training.
• Support existing manufacturing processes through problem solving, optimizing, and continuous improvements.
• Investigate, identify root cause, apply corrective action, and document quality issues that occur in manufacturing.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with our NPI team including Design Engineering, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Supplier, etc.
• Lead effective product/process transfers to our high-volume Molex plants which could include international travel.
• Identify automated process opportunities as well as other cost saving opportunities. Be able to develop a thorough proposal for implementation/qualification and communicate with our key stakeholders.
• Understand, support, and contribute to current Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Be a key contributor for customer and industry audits

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with implementation of new manufacturing methods including training others to execute a process.
• Experience working with automated systems to identify opportunities and/or program new functions to improve process efficiency.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in fiber optics, product and process development, and automation
• Experience in developing robust manufacturing processes from prototype through full production transfers, ensuring scalability and quality.
• Strong expertise in automation technologies, including the use of robots and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks by implementing effective process controls to meet stringent quality and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing to drive continuous process improvements and support decision-making.
• Knowledge of customer and industry audit requirements, with prior experience conducting Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate process changes.
