Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Scout, evaluate, and advise on promising carbon capture technologies at scale.
2. Interpret small-scale and pilot-size capture process data for techno-economic and scale-up analyses.
3. Perform in-depth scientific and technical analysis of selected capture technologies, including process simulations with tools like ProII, Aspen, and COMSOL.
4. Deliver technical analysis, conceptual plant design, technical costs, life-cycle analysis, safety concerns, maturity, and risk management plans.
5. Advise on engineering for different scales: from lab scale to 100 tpa, 1,000 tpa, and 1 Mtpa.
6. Coordinate with external partners and internal stakeholders to define scopes of work with clear targets, milestones, and organizational structures.
7. Evaluate and challenge processes and designs proposed by partners and technology developers, especially for scaling up.
8. Engage engineering companies when necessary to assist with process design and technical cost evaluation.
9. Manage collaborative contractual frameworks with technology developers.
10. Adopt a balanced management style with partners to foster collaboration and innovation while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
11. Provide scientific and technical guidance to partners and internal stakeholders.
12. Promote HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) initiatives and ensure strong HSE awareness across partners.
13. Maintain high standards of internal reporting.
14. Stay updated on technological developments and adjust project documents accordingly.
15. Promote technical innovation both internally and externally.
