Job summary

Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is seeking a Process Engineer to support Vacuum Dewar fabrication for Infrared Vacuum Dewars in a ISO Class 5 Clean Room with wirebonding and precision alignment capabilities.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering, knowledge of Vacuum Processing, Metrology and Infrared Detector Technology, and proficiency with SPC and DOE/ANOVA. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Process, Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Collaborate with Technicians, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Equipment Engineers in an ISO Class 5 Clean Room setting.
  • Manage process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increases, throughput and safety improvements.
  • Review material in WIP, certify operators and conduct hands-on processing testing and failure analysis.
  • Use chemicals, metrology equipment, inspection microscope, alignment and bonding tools in a cleanroom environment.
  • Handle chemical safety data and advise on safety protocols, including personal protective equipment.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, verbal and/or written, to key stakeholders.
  • Work with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA).

Overview

Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight‑based vision systems. A Process Engineer will support Vacuum Dewar fabrication for Infrared Vacuum Dewars in Wirebond and Precision Alignment in an ISO Class 5 Clean Room.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with Precision Alignment, Wire Bond, Vacuum Life and Infrared Detector Technology.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or schematics; good mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with SPC and DOE/ANOVA.
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and engineering/manufacturing software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Precision Alignment, Wire Bond, Vacuum Life, Leak Check, Plating, Photolithography and Metrology.
  • Experience with Infrared Detector Technology and control systems.

Compensation

Salary range: $95,500 – $181,700 USD. The offered compensation will reflect experience, education, location and responsibilities.
