What You Will Do
  • Responsible for the oversight and assembly of Focal Plane Arrays and optical components from implementation of design to shipment. Provide engineering support for the manufacturing factory, interpret engineering drawings and specifications into build plans, create schedules and oversee nonrecurring and recurring tasks to support program builds. Create and maintain Bill of Materials, generate process flow travelers, manage process and tooling activities, review and disposition defective material, manage budgets, interface with manufacturing personnel, lead problem solving efforts and corrective actions. Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required. Perform and support First Article Inspections assuring hardware meets all quality requirements flowed down from the program.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience with semiconductor cleanroom work environment and principles.
  • U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with wet etch, metal-lift off, lithography, plasma cleaning or associated semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Experience with Eyelit as a manufacturing execution system (MES)
  • Experience with II-VI and III-V or other compound semiconductor processing.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Six Sigma and statistical techniques.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing full coverall garments.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess good written communication skills, especially in documenting processes for assembly.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
