Job summary

BizLink Group in Fremont, CA is seeking an Assistant Process Engineer to review customer specifications, lead process improvements, and support production lines on site. You will coordinate with suppliers, document SOPs, and manage equipment and tools to optimize manufacturing of cables and wire harnesses.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in IE or Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years in cable assembly, and deep knowledge of interconnect technologies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in cable assembly and wire harness manufacturing.
• Knowledge of interconnect technologies and products.

Responsibilities

• Review customer spec, prints and processing requirements. Report to PE/PM about issues found.
• Searching components spec and process requirements from suppliers.
• Create SOP/BP and other instructions at products manufactured at Fremont. Document/record Red line, maintain documentation and make document interpretation.
• Review labor time at each process of produced items and provide solutions of process improvements.
• On-site supports for production lines.
• Create SRD (Supplier requested deviations) request if needed.
• Design and support fixtures for production.
• Sync-up with China manufacturing processes. Final say in document interpretation.
• Technically lead Assistant Process Engineer. Train operators are using new or high end equipment. Order and manage equipment and tools if needed.
• Additional projects/ roles/ responsibilities assigned by management

Requirements

• IE or Electrical Engineering bachelor degree or higher.
• 3-5 years experience of cable assembly and wire harness manufacturing is desired (Intermediate Level).
• Extensive knowledge about interconnect technologies and products.
