Job summary

Henkel is hiring a Process Engineer in West Hazleton, PA to lead process improvement, problem solving, and data-driven optimization on the shop floor. You will define equipment standards and work with training to close operator capability gaps, spending most time on the production floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 1–3 years in manufacturing, and Lean Six Sigma certifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize and eliminate process losses.
• Lead and build capability of Problem Solving (lead workshops).
• Define and improve equipment standards via problem solving.
• Coordinate with training to close capability gaps for Operators.
• Work with line management to prioritize improvement opportunities.
• Design, implement and maintain data collection/analysis systems.
• Monitor centerline, defects, standards and improvement plans.
• Become a technical expert for a designated process.
• Spend 80% on the floor solving problems to reduce stops.

What you'll do

• Identify, prioritize and eliminate process losses
• Lead and build the capability of Problem Solving (Lead Problem Solving Workshops)
• Define and improve (via Problem Solving) the equipment standards (CL, CILT, DH, TBM)
• Work with training manager to close capability gaps of the Operators ensuring the team can execute the improved equipment standards (CL, CILT, TBM)
• Work with line management to prioritize improvement opportunities (top losses).
• Design, implement and maintain systems to collect and analyze data for critical product and process parameters
• Regular monitoring of the area regarding centerline, defects and standards & development of improvement plans
• Become a technical expert for a designated process
• Spend 80% of his/her time on the floor (mainly) working on Problem Solving to kill stops

The salary range for this role is $70,000.00 and $90,000.00. This range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate's skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
