Job summary

FC Industries Inc Dayton is seeking a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement across manufacturing operations in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on driving productivity, reducing waste, and applying Lean principles to achieve operational excellence with a strong floor presence.

You will work with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to cut scrap, shorten changeovers, and improve OEE while teaching lean tools to staff and tracking KPI improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience.
  • Proficient in Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, TPM, Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proven record of cost reduction achievements.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain Value Stream Maps using Value Stream Mapping.
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Reduce changeover times utilizing SMED methodologies.
  • Develop a system to capture, educate operators to record/reduce Scrap.
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Facilitate root cause analysis investigations.
  • Develop and implement standard work procedures.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Track and report KPI improvements.
  • Train employees on Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence.
  • Experience in TPM and reliability programs related to maintenance PM’s.

Position Summary:

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Lean Manufacturing

    • Standard Work

    • Root Cause Analysis
  • Proven record of cost reduction achievements.

  • Low/ high-volume manufacturing experience (preferred)
