About the Opportunity:

In this pivotal position, you'll strategically develop and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate overall product quality within our automotive division. The ideal candidate is proactive and results-driven with a proven history of leading process improvements, achieving cost efficiencies, and contributing to successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Standardization: Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions to ensure consistent and repeatable process execution across manufacturing operations.
- Efficiency Analysis: Conduct detailed time studies to accurately measure cycle times, identify areas for optimization, and establish performance benchmarks.
- Workflow Optimization: Analyze and balance production lines to streamline workflow, mitigate bottlenecks, and maximize overall output efficiency.
- Process Enhancement: Identify, develop, and implement strategic process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste, and elevate product quality standards.
- Data-Driven Insights: Collect and rigorously analyze operational data, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), to identify key trends, determine root causes of inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by actively engaging employees in problem-solving initiatives and fostering a proactive approach to process optimization.
- Bill of Materials & Cost Management: Maintain and accurately update Bill of Materials (BOM) routing and costing information within SAP to ensure precise cost calculations and effective production planning.
- Capacity Planning & Analysis: Conduct thorough production capacity analyses to identify potential constraints, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the timely fulfillment of production targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a track record of successful process improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in utilizing data analysis tools, including but not limited to Excel, Minitab, SQL, and Power BI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a cross-functional team.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, with specific knowledge of welding and assembly operations.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and the application of Kaizen methodologies.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working within the framework of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) projects.
- Knowledge and application of established quality tools, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of focused experience within the automotive manufacturing sector.
- Direct experience in exhaust system manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
- Experience with the integration and optimization of automation and robotics within manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for the design of fixtures and gauges.
- In-depth knowledge of welding processes and procedures.
- Experience in robotic programming and operational oversight.
