Responsibilities:

As the Senior Process Engineer, you will support and manage state-of-the-art lines crucial to Lilly's supply chain. This role is part of the Concord Site Engineering team, responsible for the delivery and stewardship of the lines.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Ensure the safe design and operation of equipment within the area.
  • Provide engineering expertise as an active member of the process team.
  • Gain technical expertise of equipment and processes, including understanding flow charts, critical process parameters, and master formula instructions.
  • Establish and monitor control systems to verify and optimize equipment performance.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex equipment and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Tech/Engineering Tech support in troubleshooting, involving the Process Engineer as needed.
  • Apply formal problem-solving techniques, including Root Cause Analysis, to resolve issues.
  • Respond to customer requests related to equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with process team members, customers, and technical/support personnel.
  • Oversee Maintenance Tech/Engineering Tech activities supporting the area.
  • Assess activities' impact on equipment qualification and utilize appropriate change control processes.
  • Classify systems/components and develop maintenance strategies.
  • Implement corrective actions from CAPAs.
  • Participate in periodic reviews and IQ/OQ/PQ activities, including commissioning of new equipment.
  • Develop scope for capital projects and act as user representative or delivery agent.
  • Understand and improve equipment reliability issues.
  • Coordinate with asset management to replicate improvements and align maintenance activities.
  • Identify and pursue improvement opportunities related to equipment.
  • Compare equipment performance data to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Aim for world-class safety, quality, and customer service levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, Life Science, or related field.
  • Proficient in software packages such as Excel, JMP, etc.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and supporting HSE goals.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
  • Ability to apply statistical analysis to manufacturing problems.
  • Experience with validated systems.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques.

Compensation varies based on education, experience, skills, and location, with an anticipated salary range of $64,500 - $167,200. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses, comprehensive benefits, including 401(k), pension, health coverage, flexible spending, insurance, and well-being programs. Lilly reserves the right to modify these programs as needed.
