Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives plant-wide.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and process-related issues using root cause analysis.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase reliability.
  • Support automation, robotics, CNC programming, and equipment upgrade projects.
  • Manage capital and expense projects from concept through implementation.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Corporate Engineering to evaluate new technologies and process enhancements.
  • Analyze production and financial data to drive performance improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop work instructions, training materials, and standardized processes.
  • Present results and recommendations to plant and corporate leadership.

Position Overview

Help drive the future of advanced manufacturing at Shaw Industries. We're seeking a hands-on engineer to support one of the most technologically advanced vinyl flooring production lines in the company. This high-visibility role is responsible for leading process improvements, troubleshooting complex manufacturing challenges, supporting automation initiatives, and driving operational excellence across the plant.

What You'll Do
  • Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives plant-wide.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and process-related issues using root cause analysis.

What We're Looking For

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
