Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Finishing Department activities (coater, Offline, Shipping, and compound) to improve production and reduce quality issues and claims.
• Ensure Finishing runs with first-quality carpet and high efficiency.
• Lead or participate in projects as directed by Plant Manager or Corporate Management.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to resolve quality problems.
• Interact with department heads across areas and attend quality audits.
• Coordinate with R&D on new products and participate in MTR reviews.
• Monitor POVA data to ensure department effectiveness and efficiency.

Job Title

Process Engineer

Essential Duties

• Manage coater, Offline, Shipping, and compound departments
• Be sure Finishing runs first quality carpet and at top efficiency
• Work on projects and assignments as required by the Plant Manager and/or Corporate Management
• Work with sales and customers on quality problems
• Work with department heads of the individual department areas
• Attend quality audits
• Work with R&D department on new products
• Attend MTR reviews
• Monitor POVA data to ensure the department is operating effectively and efficiently

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an engineering field)
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardizing situations
• Willingness to work in normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
