Job description

We need someone to be the corporate subject matter expert on one of our processes. Right now we are doing things differently at each of our sites and you will standardize processes, experiment with new approaches, implement automation (including robots), and drive real innovation across all facilities.

This is a high-impact role where you can make immediate, measurable improvements that no one else has been willing to tackle. No one is innovating, and your job will be to fix it.

YOU MUST BE ONSITE EVERY DAY FOR THIS JOB. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON'T ALREADY LIVE LOCALLY
The Problem You'll Solve
Current State:
  • 4 facilities doing things differently
  • No one experiments or tries to standardize
  • Highest quality failure rate in the company
  • Most expensive point for rework
What You'll Do
  • Evaluate current methods across all 4 sites
  • Design and run experiments to determine optimal processes
  • Standardize processes across facilities
  • Document best practices and create SOPs
Automation & Technology
  • Get your mind around the robot capabilities and limitations
  • Lead R&D process to expand use of robots
  • Work with vendors on equipment selection and implementation
  • Calculate ROI and build business cases for automation investments
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work with other departments (Quality, Production, Engineering) to align on solutions
  • Lead through influence—you won't have direct reports
  • Read and interpret technical drawings
  • Train teams on new processes and equipment
  • Drive cultural change toward experimentation and continuous improvement
Quality & Cost Reduction
  • Reduce quality failures
  • Cut rework costs
  • Eliminate unnecessary overtime through better processes and automation
  • Track and report on improvements
What You Need
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 2-5 years in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand specifications
  • Project management skills and ability to drive initiatives to completion
More Important Than Your Degree:
  • High EQ - You'll work with diverse teams
  • Curiosity - You ask "why" and "what if" constantly
  • Willingness to learn - You don't know everything about our processes yet, and that's okay
  • Drive - You see a problem and can't rest until you've fixed it
  • Detail-oriented - Small differences in process matter here
  • Innovation mindset - You experiment, test, iterate, and aren't afraid to fail
Does This Fit You?

You're an early-career Engineer ready to make a huge impact where no one else is innovating. You don't need all the answers—you need the curiosity and drive to find them.

You're comfortable working across multiple sites with diverse teams. You can influence without authority. You get excited about solving problems that have been ignored for too long.

If you want to take something that's broken and make it significantly better—with measurable results you can see immediately—this is it.

What We Offer
  • High-visibility role as corporate SME
  • Immediate impact opportunity (this isn't a 3-year project)
  • Access to automation technology and grant funding
  • Ability to shape processes across multiple facilities
  • Cross-functional exposure and leadership development
  • Competitive salary and benefits
